Fun with Firetrucks

When P.J. got home last night he told me about Lowes having a project to build firetrucks. I called to see if you needed to sign up, they said just come as close to 10am as you can. When we got there Rylie did not want to do it and then she of course changed her mind. (typical girl...) So we went through 2 extra sets of wheels and were able to finally get it all finished. They got aprons, goggles, and a patch. It was a very full filling day. We already decided to make it next time when they make skeletons.

Rylie's first day of pre-school

I now have 2 school bound kids. Rylie started pre school today and loved it, she only goes 3 days but that's enough to get her little mind going. Rylie is so smart and loves to learn she is always trying to keep up with her brother. If you know any of my kids you know that there is no way to compare any of my kids! Now with Rylie and Alex off to school that only leaves little Will to entertain which in itself is a huge job, I will be starting mommy and me soccer on the 23rd just to get us out and meeting other kids for him to play with. Will is always going to be a little behind in school, his birthday is in Oct. and makes him start later.

Fishing with the Straight's

Well, the kids have been dying to go fishing since we moved. We had heard about a pond outside of Marysville, so we packed up and were off to the fishing pond. There were 2 ponds 1 for kids and parents to help and 1 just for adults we tried both pond and ended up with nothing. Alex told us " The fish must not be hungry," I love that kid!! Rylie loved the whole fishing thing she loves fish. Will just loved being in the water ( we saw a sign as we were getting ready to leave warning us of swimmers itch, I very quickly ran them home and put them in the shower) he loved the rocks and putting his whole pole in the water. We had such a fun day hopefully next time we can catch something.

Alex 1st Day of Kindergarten

Well, now it is time for school and I had to send my little man to school. I can't believe how big he is, his sister will be right behind him. I was not as sad as I thought I would be, he was so excited so I couldn't be sad for him. I was just waiting counting down the hours until he would be home. I didn't realize how just one little person being gone for only a few hour can change the whole house. I am so excited to see what all he learns and what he can teach us too! I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast.

Labor Day

For Labor day this year we drove home. Which is something we have never had to do because we have always lived there. My dad has spent week after week building this tree house for Alex, Rylie and Will and since we have moved they have not seen it done. They could play in that backyard for hours with out getting bored at all. My sweet gramma rain is in her 80's and still looks great and can still climb up in the tree house like one of the kids. P.J. also went and bought little gold fish to put in there ponds and Rylie could not stop playing with them I really do mean playing with them she would catch them and hold them and then put them back in the water as they would quickly swim there way back to safety. It was really good to be home an enjoy the time we spent with our families. With both of our parent living in Idaho it was a big change for our family. We hope that we will be able to come home more and maybe they can come up too!

Space Needle with Teaters

In August our friends (more like family) the Teater came up to Seattle to visit us. We went to the Space Needle. The kiddos loved it, most of the time. Alex was not so camera friendly that day it appears. It is so high up there you seem to forget until you get up there. It is crazy that now there are so many building that tower over it. It was so much fun to be up there we really wanted to eat there but were suppised to see the price I did not want to spend $15 on a hambuger for my kids to pick at, Sorry.....

family visits

After we had been in our new home for about 3 or 4 weeks my brother Russ and his family from Arizona came up to visit us and my other brother Jim who lives in Dupont just about an hour away from us. We did all the Seattle things. The kids love to see their cousins and uncles and aunts. I can't believe how old all the kids are getting. I remember when my oldest niece was born and now she is almost 15 crazy! I really am so lucky to have such a wonderful family, I love them all so much!!!

Saying Goodbye to Idaho and friends

After we made the decision to move to Washington there were some friends we had a hard time saying bye to. We have become very good friends with the Teaters and the rest of the family as well. I was very hard for us all to say good bye!
